Number one question I get asked, “What diet are you on?”
Answer, “I’m not on a diet, I eat what I want. I try to avoid junk, but if I eat it I eat a small portion. I try to include a protein, fruit, or veggie in each meal. Sometimes all three.”
That might not be the answer they want to hear, but it’s definitely what’s worked for me. Protein, Veggies, Fruit, Water, and not over restricting myself because let’s be real, I’m human and sometimes I can be lazy.
So here we go, Lazy Meal Prep for the win. Here is one day of meals. Fair warning I don’t have a normal work schedule so what you consider breakfast food, might not be for me.
This is new for me and so far I like it. Green Giant Cauliflower in the ‘riced’. This one is the Lemon Garlic flavored. I added a little salt and pepper. 1 cup is 30 calories so the entire bag is 120 cal. Keeps me full all morning. You can find the info here.
Pickle and olive snack packs. Love these things. Perfect for munching while I sit at work. Low calories but great taste.
I’m a sucker for mac ‘n’ cheese. Pasta used to be my enemy. Now I just have it way less often and in small, portion controlled, sizes. Theses are not the healthiest but it keeps your portion in control and they taste pretty good. Bonus; 11 grams of protein makes it okay by me. You can find these at Walmart or Sam’s Club. I also had a medium sized Pink Lady Apple with my lunch, forgot to take her picture. 🙂
Late afternoon I had a pita pocket with sliced turkey, provolone cheese, and yellow mustard. Super lazy meal but it packed the protein and filled me up. Plus I’m a sucker for meat & cheese. Also not pictured was the handful of strawberries I ate after my classy pita pocket.
Finally dinner, which may look like I wasn’t lazy, but I definitely was. Homemade guacamole! Looks like I put effort into this, but fear not, I did no such thing. I simply went to Pinterest and searched for Easy Guacamole and found a 5 ingredient recipe.
Here are the ingredients:
- 3 avocados
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 lime

Along with the food that I ate, I need to also share what I drink!
I drink water all day long. I usually carry one of these Core water bottles (30.4fl oz.) and refill it at least 5-6 times a day. 1-2 times a day I add a cap full of this Apple Cider Vinegar ‘to-go’ to my water. I also drink at least one of these core bottles with fresh lemon juice or fresh lime juice added to it. I rotate every other day between lemon and lime.
The health benefits of apple cider vinegar, limes, and lemons are endless. Detoxing, digestion, immune health, and even hair skin and nails. Energy and weight loss are a good side effect as well.

I’m still hitting the gym 5-6 days a week and loving it more each day. I’ve been starting with cardio for 30-40 min, lifting for 30-45 min, and ending with a rotation of workout sets. Here is one I found on Pinterest that I really enjoy. It’s made a noticeable different in my back and chest.
