We’ve been eating a lot of fish around here lately. I was always afraid to cook fish. I’m no Master Chef (current Hulu addiction) but I decided to dive in 😀 and try some fish. Now that I’ve had a few successful attempts I can say fish is definitely easier than other meats and bonus it’s healthier!
This was my first attempt at Tilapia and it turned out pretty good!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 4-5 Tilapia thawed, we buy the Great Value bags at WalMart (time saver)
- 2 cups Parmesan Cheese Grated
- 1-2 Tablespoons Chopped Fresh Chives or parsley (either works)
- 2 Tablespoons Paprika
- Salt & Pepper (to taste)
- Olive Oil (oil or spray)
Preheat oven to 400°
Use glass or metal baking dish, line with foil and lightly spray with olive oil.
Wash and dry Tilapia.
In a shallow bowl or tray combine cheese, chives, paprika, salt and pepper.
Lightly coat the tilapia with olive oil. Not too much, just enough for cheese to stick.
Lay the tilapia in the cheese mixture and coat on each side.
Coat all the pieces, place in baking dish.
Bake at 400° for 11-13 min.
If you have thicker Tilapia you may need to add 2-3 minutes. My Tilapia pictured took 13 minutes.
Quick and easy! Tastes pretty good too!
