Lately I’ve been VERY lazy with makeup. With an almost 1 year old,an 8 year old, a 45 min drive to work and a constantly changing work schedule makeup is the last thing on my mind in the morning. No primers, eye shadows, or highlights for me. I want to be able to do my makeup with minimal effort, minimal supplies, and under 5 minuets. Here are my essentials.
After I wash my face and apply moisturizer I skip the primer and start with foundation. I use a damp beauty sponge Real Techniques Sponge Easiest way to apply my foundation and affordable.
For foundation I have a few favorites but this is my ride or die. I’m always reaching for this after trying other random expensive foundations. L’OREAL Pro-Glow in the shade 202. The first foundation, at least drug store, that I didn’t need the lightest shade! I have dry skin and lots of texture. This is one of the few foundations that doesn’t immediately sink into my pores and keeps my face looking smooth and even.
Next I throw on a little blush. I’ve been using this Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in the color Rosey Nude. I actually received this in an Ipsy bag last year and have been loving it. It’s a great color for my complexion and it lasts all day. Mine is the travel size and still has a long way to go before its gone!
My last, yes LAST step is mascara. I have MANY favorites: Super Hero by It Cosmetics, Benefit Roller Lash, and of course Tarte Better Than Sex. Again, in an Ispy bag, I was given the travel size of Perversion Mascara by Urban Decay. I really like this one! No clumping, lasts, no flaking, and it makes my lashes look full and longer. Plus the travel size is easy to take with me.
There you have it. My quick and easy everyday makeup routine!
