Blogmas Day 7: Top 4 Favorite Mascaras

When I’m in a hurry and want to attempt to not look like a troll, I grab some light foundation, a little blush, and top it off with some mascara. Out the door I go. Mascara is a quick application but has a big impact. Finding the right mascara can be tough. Ranging from way to expensive to budget friendly. Here is a quick list of my top 4 favorite mascaras…

  1. ColourPop BFF Mascara

My current favorite mascara is the BFF Volumizing Mascara from ColourPop. With a budget friendly price of $8, a wonderful smooth formula, and some high-end feeling packaging it’s easily my favorite. I’ve been using this for about two months now and I’m HOOKED. No clumping, no bleeding, and lasts all day. The Black-on-black color is fantastic. I have yet to try it with false lashes…I’m just not the one for that. 😉

2. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

This has been a long time favorite for me. I received this as a sample size in an Ipsy bag. First time I tried this I thought it was a bit clumpy, but after removing a little product from the brush and a better application this quickly became a favorite. This is one of my favorite mascara brushes, great for application. It’s got a higher price, $24, but no fear. You can purchase a travel size from Ulta and give it a try before committing to the full size.

3. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

This is a favorite of many people. I found this mascara thanks to the word of YouTube. So many beauty YouTubers suggest this product. The mascara adds volume and lasts. The only draw back is the lower lashes are hard to get to with the want, but it can be done. It’s on the expensive side, $25, but again go for the travel size or during the holidays Too Faced has some good deals. Currently the full size is down to $17 on Ulta.

4. IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara

Another YouTube favorite, It Cosmetics has a great mascara. I’ve heard some say this can clump, but just watch how much you use. I used this product for a good 2 years without reaching for any other product. It’s priced at $24 and also has a travel size for $12. Make sure you don’t leave too much product on the wand, and use a light hand but the length and volume are legit. The wand also works well on lower lashes. A great mascara!
