Blogmas Day 24: Christmas Eve Makeup

It’s Christmas Eve! I’m so excited for our LACK of plans tonight. Jeff and I work today, however we will both be home by 4:30. After work we have NOTHING. We will be in our pjs, watching Christmas movies with the girls, and enjoying every second of it. No rushing to get anywhere, no anxiety of packing, and zero worries. What a perfect Christmas Eve.

In true Lindsay fashion, I have no where to go, so let’s put on some makeup! I have some old favorites, a few newer items, and some old ones I pulled out from a long forgotten drawer.

From face to eyes, here we go.

Skipped the primer. Washed my face and went straight for this facial mist by Valjean Labs. I found it at Marshall’s about a month ago and I really like it. My face feels smoother and is definitely hydrated after each use. The texture on my face has a noticeable difference as well. Sprayed it on and used a cotton ball to pat in.

Under the eyes, and along my Tzone I used the ColourPop No Filter Matte Concealer in Fair 06. Blended out with the ColourPop beauty sponge.

For my foundation I’ve once again returned to my never fails me, always trusted LOREAL Infallible Pro-Glo in shade 202. Great coverage, hides my texture, and works great with every product I pair it with. Please, never leave me. I applied my foundation with a new brush. The ColourPop Flat Kabuki Face Brush. Applies cream products like a dream and the price is fantastic, $11. It’s in the top photo.

To set my face I went in with the Too Faced Peach Blur Translucent Finishing Powder. This powder really does blur anything you put it on and it doesn’t oxidize. THANK YOU. No one needs an orange line around their neck.

For blush I actually put away the Tarte and found this Physicians Formula Argon Wear Blush in the back of my makeup drawer. Let me just say, its wonderful. Great color, and works well with my other products. For Highlighter I used another back of the drawer find. The E.L.F Healthy Glow Shimmer Powder. It’s pictured above with all the products. It’s a very natural glow, with just a hint of shimmer. I’m sure it can be built up, but I wan’t going for too much highlight.

For the Eyes I used the Anna and Elsa palettes by ColourPop. These palettes work well on their own but also together can make some great looks.

  1. All over the lid with ‘Fire’ (Elsa, top middle)
  2. Outter Crease and used as liner above the eyelashes with ‘Warm Hugs’ (Anna, bottom left)
  3. Inner Corner blended to middle of lid with ‘Scooch In’ (Anna, top left)
  4. Smudged out on lower lash line ‘Northern Lights’ (Elsa, top right)
  5. Packed on Lid with Finger ‘ Flurry’ (Elsa, center)

Very few colors used and it turned out great. Although the Elsa palette appears mostly cool tone and the Anna mainly warn, the really do work well together. The pressed glitter is hard to see in this photo (no beauty lights, sorry).

For mascara I used my new found love. ColourPop BFF Volumizing Mascara in the color Black on Black. You NEED to try this mascara!

For lips I purchased this holiday bundle at Walmart, $9.88 for 4 matte lip shades. Today I used the color Wine and layered it with Praline. The formula feels pretty alright. Dries down almost completely, but still has a little move to it. Just enough so that your lips don’t feel like crusty crabs LOL. Colors are great and lasts.

Overall thoughts.

Quick Application

Not too many products

Mostly drugstore or affordable, even the Too Faced was purchased at Marshall’s

Perfect for a Christmas Eve in or out!

Merry Christmas Eve!
