Two Years.

Wanted to share something I posted on my personal Facebook Page.

My senior year of High School, if you asked me “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?” this photo wouldn’t be it.
I’ve been a Mother for almost ten years now but the last two have definitely been work.

Breastfeeding is the most rewarding and challenging experience. I’ve had nights without sleep, weeks without breaks, and days where I was stuck in a chair for 95% of the day, and I would happily do it all again.
The bond it builds, the sweet smiles I see, her little hands on my cheeks, all of it is exactly what I was meant to be doing.

I also have to say thank you to Allison and Jeff. They’ve put up with me on some of my toughest days and been extremely supportive.
After two years of ‘booboo’ we’re going to be slowly moving away from it.

Emphasis on slowly. Maybe by Christmas I’ll be my own person again without the booby monster following me around. Normally I don’t share the ‘feelings’ stuff, however this I felt like sharing. If you’re a first time mom and nervous about breastfeeding, know that it’s hard but it does get easier and if you ever have a question, or simply someone to listen, I’m here.

Breastfeeding is natural, beautiful, and the most selfless love you can give.
